Appen/Leapforce Income Proof

This post is to prove to you how much I made working as a search engine evaluator for Appen (previously Leapforce). I will show you not only screenshot of the payment, but the video proof of the actual payments.

The last time I posted Leapforce Income report, it was on Oct 8th 2017. Here it is if you want to make sure.

June, July & August Income Report

Damn ! Time flies away so fast. I felt like I have abandoned this site for far too long.

But hey, better late than never. I’m back with yet another Income report.

It is impossible to present or list out all the months’ income reports here. So I will just be sticking with the worst and the best incomes I had working with Leapforce as search engine evaluator.

Please note that I would be using the term Leapforce and Appen interchangeably, they both mean the same thing. Appen acquired Leapforce sometime in December 2017, and has since rebranded it as Appen Connect.

And please note that these incomes are made without blogging or from survey sites. These income reports are from me working as a search engine evaluator.

In case you are wondering what is it that I do and how is that I make this money or made it in the past, please read till the end. I will let you know how you can work like me as well. I’ve been at this game since June 2016 and first wrote about it here. I am the only one who documented search engine evaluator income reports from as early as January 2017.

I will show you exactly how much I made with Appen/Leapforce working as a Google Rater And oh there will be more than screenshots to proof that. Who believes in screenshots right?

Read on.

Got no website? No problem! This is how I made up over $3800 per month

First the income reports.

The worst Leapforce/Appen income ever-

April 2018 Leapforce Income – $174.58

What the heck happened?

Well, I was working for uTest in a Social Media Research Project, promoting an app from the world’s largest social media company. The app was supposed to pay me $5 per month for keeping the app installed on my phone.

And for each referral, it was supposed to pay me  $10 per referral, per month every month. Plus there was a bonus of $20 for every 5th referral.

I referred like thousands hoping to make thousands of dollars.

1000 referrals should have brought me $14,000+ every month as long as those referrals had the app installed.

I heard a lot of positive things about uTest. The project itself was good, but the Project Managers, not so good.

They scrubbed my leads (referrals) a lot claiming that only these much (around 40) referrals are qualified leads.

I didn’t even make $1000 in total.

So the whole month of April 2018, I was busy promoting this app, answering questions from interested people, posting ads on Naukri, doing everything to hit 1000 referrals.

I wasted so much time and money but got back nothing in return.

Social Media Research Project by uTest was genuine, but the project managers cheated me and a lot of people.

I regretted promoting their app. I should have made a better decision

The best Leapforce/Appen Income ever

Moving on from that worst ever income, I began to focus more on Leapforce.

I became so focused and so obsessed that I was just working and working like hell man.

And being obsesses and focused, finally paid off. I finally began to make over 1 lakh per month over $1500+

Here are my best months –

  • Leapforce Income August 2018 –  $1503.83

I worked 214 hours, 50 mins that month. At the rate of $7 per hour, I made $1503.83. I got paid like  1.08 lakh in Indian rupees, which is a lot of money. It came towards the last week of September. The payment came via Western Union. That was our last payment via Western Union. From the next month, we got paid via Payoneer.

If you were working for Leapforce in some other countries like, European countries, you would have made $3,000 approximately because they are paid like $13.4 to $14 per hour as opposed to $7 in India.

  • Leapforce Income September 2018 – $1571.71

I worked 213 hours 49  mins in the month of September. I worked less than the previous month but I got paid $75 more.

That’s because of my the referral bonus of $25 that you get for each qualified referral. Cool extra income huh.

So we got paid in October last week via Payoneer. I got paid like 1.12 lakhs approximately.

  • Leapforce Income October  2018 – $2007.03

This is a whole another level. This is insane I worked almost 300 hours that month. I don’t think any normal employee could do it. But if you worked from home, its possible.

If anybody that looks like you can do it, you can too.

I always remembered what billionaire entrepreneur  Elon Musk says about hard work –

Work like hell. If others are putting in 40 hours workweek, you put in 70-80 hours work weeks.

Here is the man himself-

Credit - Vator

His words “Work like hell”, always rang in my ears. It got inside me man. It took control of me and I became obsessed with productivity and hard work.

I worked 283 hours 9 mins in the month of October. Got $25 bonus as well.

If I were European or American who are paid like $13.5 per hour, I would have made made more than $3800+ that month.

You don’t have to work that much to make $2000+ per month. When you are working from home, you don’t have to deal with traffic,  you don’t have to get ready to go to work. That alone gives you an extra 2/3 hours.

Suppossing if you work 10 hours a day (which includes 2 hours that you saved by not going to office) for 5 days a week, you can easily hit 200 hours per month.

That means, you can easily 200*13.5 = $2700 per month working as a search engine evaluator for Leapforce or Appen.

Unlike other work from home jobs, this one gives you consistent hours. Yeah some days there are dry days, like during US holidays and weekends, but hitting 40-50 hours per week is very easy.

My goal that month in the month of October 2018 was to work 300 hours and make a cool $2100. But I couldn’t do it. I nearly hit my target. I feel like I overshot my target. 🙂

Looking back, I am like just “wow” at my own efforts.

I made 1.40 lakh Indian Rupees that month !

We got paid pretty early in November as Leapforce ( now Appen) switched the payment method from Western Union to Payoneer.

Previously we used to be paid under NET30 terms and conditions, meaning within 30 days after invoice approval.

But after switching to Payoneer from October itself, we started to get paid as early as 14th of every month which is good. The  bad thing was that they started to charge as $3 as a load fee, meaning every time, we got paid via Payoneer, they would pay us $3 less.

As you will see in the screenshot below, all the payments that I received via Payoneer are $3 less than the figures shown above.

The next two months i.e. November and December, I made $1436.23 (1 lakh+)  and $784.73 respectively.

December was understandable because of holidays and other stuffs. There were very less tasks as all the admins goes for Christmas holidays and New Years too.

And I was also at home taking care of Christmas and other related stuffs ( been home since March 2018).

So how is my 2019 so far?

January 2019 started in a really bad note.

Firstly, my routine affected due to Christmas holidays. Secondly, I got logged out of my Google account on 5th January 2019.

I am still not able to logged back in to my Chrome in PC. I am still logged in to both of my phones though. But I need to be logged in to Desktop to be able to continue working for Leapforce.

Resetting password doesn’t help. I have to fill in their account recovery form, which asks me for

  • last password change.
  • tap the device option
  • enter phone number
  • enter OTP sent
  • authenticator code

and so on

Tried like five or six times to recover it. All that I get from Google is “Google couldn’t verify you”

I tried it one more time last night, fingers crossed on what is going to happen next. If it doesn’t work out, I will escalate it to Google Account Recovery specialist. They will either say “yes or no” and that will be the end of it.

It is scary how my entire existence depends on a single password.

I am telling you these, so that you write down your password and keep it safe. I had always thought that if I forget the password, so what, I can always reset it right. Not always.

N.B – I have seen recovered my Google account. All is good now.

Sorry to deviate from the main topic. Had to tell you that because I care for you.

So where is the Leapforce/Appen Income Payment Proof?

Here is  the screenshots of my latest Leapforce/ Appen income –

It is taken right from Payoneer transaction page –

Leapforce/Appen payment proof
If you are viewing this on your mobile, download the image first, then zoom in and see.

Payoneer gives you an option to print out your transactions. This is a screenshot from there.

You can see the url, it says that it is from Payoneer. I am always for honesty and integrity of my blog. You can read through all my income reports, you would find out what integrity of this blog means to me.

Previously, we used to be paid via Western Union, after Leapforce’s acquisition by Appen, they switched it to Payoneer making it possible for me to post the screenshot above.

Let me do something even better.

Here is a video of me actually logging in to my Payoneer account and showing you the payments that I got from Leapforce Aka Appen. You should watch it on laptop.desktop for better viewing.

Did I win your trust now? 🙂

I guess not yet?

You might be thinking how come the payments are only from October 2018 and not from June 2016?

That is because, previously Leapforce used to pay us via Western Union.

After acquiring Leapforce, Appen rebranded it to Appen Connect, changed the logo, url and the PAYMENT METHOD.

We are asked to transition to Payoneer in September 2018. So, since October 2018, we have been paid via Payoneer.

You see, I am all about honesty and integrity. It’s very important to me personally and to my blog.

Alright, so that wraps up the long overdue Appen (Leapforce) Income Report.

And in case you are still wondering what is it that I do, I do something called search engine evaluation.

We are responsible for making the web a better place. Google contracts companies like Leapforce/Appen and they in return outsource the work to us. There are around 10,000 of us from all over the world.

We are called as search engine evaluators, Google Raters, Internet analyst and so on.

We are provided a Guideline and we are supposed to rate and evaluate websites and web-pages based on the parameters of that Guideline.

We are also supposed to rate how relevant or helpful a certain result/results are for a query issued by a user.

If you want a complete authoritative guide on search engine evaluator job, where to work as one, what is the pay rate, and so on, then read this post –

If you are an American, sign up below to work as  part-time employee. The company Raterlabs hires Americans for search engine evaluator aka Google Rater positions. It was part of Leapforce before, but was bifurcated to hire Americans as part-time employees(up to 26 hours per week). With Appen acquiring Leapforce, Raterlabs has been acquired as well. Here is the link below –

Raterlabs

For all others, you can sign up here below –

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

To be an evaluator, you need to pass a very tough qualification test. Hardly 1 out of every 100 applicants gets through it. The minimum passing score required is 87% and not 30% unlike in schools.

I’ve referred thousands via my blog, but hardly a few hundred have gone on to work as an evaluator.

Since I have been working as a Search Engine Evaluator since June 2016 ( you can read my earliest blog posts from December 2016 right here,), I have an authority and expertise in this subject.

Since so many people fail at this test and since search engine evaluation is something that can bring consistent monthly income , I launched a course so that work from home enthusiasts like you can work as an evaluator.

Feel free to check it out here  – SEARCH ENGINE EVALUATOR COURSE

Sam

After making almost $3000 online, I started this blog to document my own journey as a search engine evaluator aka Google rater, bug hunter, website usability tester, and blogger. Now I teach others how to make money online through genuine work from home opportunities. I've been featured in Huffington Post among others. You can read more about my personal struggles and successes in making money online here.

Have u did AppeN Arrow project?
    please review about that project.
How long can we work on that project and about payrates?

    1. Sam Narzary

No I haven’t done Arrow project. Pay rate is the same as others.

  2. Tanu

How about using Paypal instead of Payoneer. Will it help offset the load fees?

    1. Sam Narzary

PayPal has shitty conversion rates. So not really an option. PayPal will deduct more than $3 load fee, plus give less usd-inr exchange rate.

  3. Tanu

But what Appen has done by reducing pay – to less than half – from $7 to $3…exactly opposes what Elon Musk is saying. I will be doing the same work for same no. of hours, but only payed less than half.
So if you talk about making 1.4lakh in 1 month, I will only make 0.6lakh in 2019; and will take 2 and half months to reach that income.
    *SIGH*
    Can you suggest a solution?

I am also working for Lionbridge. Can Two People In a Household work for the company or on a program.??
And I also wanna ask like we have a limit of working 10-20 hours and we also get an email when extra work is available.
Can we do more hours even when we don’t get an email from them?

    1. Sam Narzary

No. Not in the same project. In a different project, may be.

Lionbridge has that limit. You can’t work beyond that limit. I think you will see a message “no tasks available” as soon as you hit 20 hours. At least that’s what my friend in Lionbridge use to see in his Raterhub account.

  5. Poh

Hi, I am indian but I live in the middleeast. Will I be eligible for this job and will there be a pay difference?

    1. Sam Narzary

If you are not a citizen of Middle East or haven’t lived there for at least 5 years, I don’t think its gonna be possible to work from Middle East. But you can try applying. Good Luck.

  6. San

    Hello Sam?
How long does it take to get a reply from them?

  7. San

    Hi Sam

I have applied for the leapforce search engine evaluator job. Can you tel me when can I expect an email from them?

    1. Sam Narzary

It can take anywhere from few weeks to up to 6 months. It really depends on their agent requirements, so it all depends on them.

  8. christen

Hi! I passed the lionbridge search engine evaluator exam, Just wondering if we have to place comments on each and every result or do we just have to rate them? It seems to me it is impossible to complete tasks within their average task time if we need to place comments.

    Thanks!

    1. Sam Narzary

He congrats ! If you select one of the sides as slightly better, better or much better than the other side, you have to comment or else you don’t have to.

      1. christen

Thanks! In the exam I placed comments on all the results so I thought its the same when you get hired. Thanks again for clarifying that up, now I know it is really feasible to finish tasks ahead of ave task time! More power to your blog!

        1. Sam Narzary

Hey that’s a bad idea. You can’t finish your tasks before AET and bill for the full AET. You can only bill for the full AET if you take the whole AET to finish the task or bill for the actual time you took to finish the task.

If you over AET, you can’t bill more than the given AET.

  9. Mona

    Waiting…?

    1. Sam Narzary

It will take time, but it will be there..like permanently.

    2. christwn

I see. Thanks again. It is great that there are people like you, giving info. To think I almost jeopardized my career. Thanks again!

  10. Siddiq

I applied to Lionbridge and they approved my request for 5.50$ per hour. But it says it’s only short term process, can work only for 12 months for 1 hour per day.

And my cousin is working at Appen for 3$ per hour.

    My questions are,
Is there anyway of increment will be done on working continously with Appen?
By any chance Lionbridge will extend my work to long term or Lionbridge invite me for any other Projects later?

    1. Sam Narzary

Oh wow.. so even Lionbridge has decreased the pay rates? Damn.

Pay rates won’t be increasing as far as I know. We were lukcy, we got in when the pay rates were $7/hr, we are still paid $7/hr.

Your contract is not with Lionbridge, it is with specific projects. Your work is most likely social media evaluation like Facebook ads or Instagram ads. It will only last for 12 -18 months (Facebook’s policy).
If you get a chance to work, apply for Internet analyst position there. But I am afraid, you cannot work for two projects at the same time in Lionbridge.

Or you can work as a social media evaluator there and as a search engine evaluator in Appen. In search engine evaluator job, which is also known as internet analyst, rater, etc, you can work for as long as you want, as long as your quality scores are up to mark.

      1. Siddiq

At Appen, what are the project’s you working with.
Till Now I just approved for only Nile.
Yukon project is only in progress, still not able to attend the exam.

Will Appen payrate increases for new users?

        1. Sam Narzary

I was with Nile before. It has ended for me, it lasts for 12-18 months normally. I am in Yukon now. Appen won’t increase the pay rate. They have in fact reduced the pay rate from $7 to $3/hr

          1. Siddiq

            Thanks for the reply
On older post you said Zero Chaos
iSoftstone also provides SME. But I can’t find?

Please say the top 3 website which pay decent in INDIA other than Appen, Lionbridge or Transcription sites.

          2. Sam Narzary

ZeroChaos don’t hire anymore. iSoftstone do hire people, but specifically not search engine evaluators, but kind of related. They rarely hire Indians though.

I am yet to find better paying jobs or better work at home jobs than these three sites.

          3. Aafreen

Hello Sam, I am working for Nile project from last 6 months now and it is paying me only $3/hr but it never allows me to submit invoice for more than an hour per day, so my maximum monthly income goes to only $90-$93 from which payoneer deducts $3. Can you please let me know how can I increase my income from working online in India?

          4. Sam Narzary

Apply to whatever projects that are given to you. I would highly recommend you to go apply for Yukon project (search engine evaluator job) if it is available in your all projects tab. It gives you unlimited hours to work. Unfortunately they have reduced the payment to $3 /hr although, we the old timers are still paid $7/hr.

  11. Sylv

    Hi Sam,

Thanks for sharing all that. One question though: you mentioned you could put 300 hours into Appen/LeapForce but all I hear everywhere is that work is scarce and you can’t get a sufficient income. So is there an upper cap? Please clarify.

    1. Sam Narzary

Work is not scarce. It depends on what project you are. Some projects are limited to 1 hour per day. Some like search engine evaluator position got no limits.

But in some months of the year, the work load tends to be a bit less. It always happens. But most of the time, one can expect a consistent work load.

  12. Michael

    Sad

  13. Michael

Admin… please i have a proposal. I’m really interested in doing this but am restricted can we strike a deal?

      1. Michael

You register an account for me… i work you receive the money… you give my my percentage… or lets chat on whatsapp

        1. Sam Narzary

          Ha ha..

You will work for me without passing the qualification test? Dude, everything is tracked, your IP address, your device, your location is known to Google. You would be working for Google and not for some shitty companies.

I am sorry, I don’t do things like this.

  14. Penelope

How long did it take to get a response back on the last part? Had me scared since I didn’t receive anything in the 3-10 minute time frame. Figured I surely failed.

    1. Sam Narzary

They don’t send automated results for the last part. I think they do manual checking for it.
And you won’t get any response from them until your 7 days exam period is over.
      Keep me posted. Fingers crossed.

  15. Penelope

Very informative post, thanks! I just completed the third part of the test and am not very optimistic. The first two parts weren’t very difficult but I got stumped on the third a few times so I just went with my gut and hoped for the best!

    1. Sam Narzary

Hi Penelope. Thank you for the kind words.

The last part is the hardest one. I am sure you will get through.

    2. Mona

Hey ! Sam can you post recent developments. Like which firm is hiring if any post is available …it would be very kind on your part.

      1. Sam Narzary

Thank you for the suggestion. I will make a permanent menu listing all the companies that are hiring at the moment.
